It always ends

We get lost yet again, but the light is still there, hiding behind a cloud.
We wait for the shadow to lift. We wait for the shadow to move along so we can once again bask in the warmth of the sun.
Sometimes the wait is long, but it always ends. I tell myself “it always ends”
