Wear your true face

On Purim we’ve been given the liberty to pretend to be anything we want.
To step outside of ourselves and be silly.
I find it ironic, that the very day we dress up like someone other than ourselves,
is the day we feel the most freedom to actually be ourselves.
No need to worry about being judged by our peers.
Being serious takes a back seat.
Whenever Purim leaves us, I’m left with a deep longing for a world where everyone wears their true face.
Cards out on the table for all to see.
A world where true honesty exists.
