When I started this painting, it was just me and a blank canvas.
I cracked the door open for you, and invited you to take part in this art journey.
I never expected you to throw that door wide open, and generously share your loved ones.
This painting was no longer just mine.
It became a representation of the community that surrounds me.
I truly connected with each photo I received (whether I painted it or not)
My heart grew bigger with every child I added to this painting.
All my life I dreamed of being a successful artist. This painting made me feel like I’ve realized that dream.
