God has given me a mother

God has given me a mother.
Because he knew I would need her.
He knew she was the one, that would hold my hands, until I learnt to walk alone.
He knew the world would betray my trust.
So he gave me a mother.
Not just any mother.
A woman so pure and good, that my faith in humanity could never fail.
A woman so honest, that lies would never win over my heart.
A woman with a spirit so strong, that giving up would never be an option for me.
A woman with the softest of hearts, so that I would never harden my own.
Yes, God has given me a mother.
And therefore I know he is real.
