The path

You think you know exactly how they feel.
After all, you’ve walked that very path not too long ago.
You’ve aced that path.
Why shouldn’t they?
Maybe the shoes on their feet don’t quite fit the way yours did.
The bags they carry may weigh them down in a way that your free hands never did.
Some obstacles may be there now that weren’t there before.
They might not see the light ahead like you did.
Perhaps they do, but the light irritates their eyes.
Yes, the path remains the same, but the person walking that path is completely different.
